Agates & Geodes Series
A beautiful collection of geologically inspire rock formations of Agates and Geodes. Made using the technique of Free Motion Embroidery on a domestic sewing machine. Created with Thread and Yarn, sewn to water soluble fabric. When completed, the fabric is dissolved, leaving behind only the fiber structure. Using a special mounting process, the artwork appears to float above the backing, casting shadows that move with the light source... bringing each piece to life.
All artwork in this series measures 8 inches by 8 inches and is framed in a white 9 inch by 9 inch shadowbox, ready to hang.
