Agates & Geodes Series: Purple Agate

Part of the Award Winning Agates and Geode Series.  Each piece in the series is embroidered by hand using a domestic sewing machine.  They are sewn onto water soluble fabric, which is dissolved in water after the piece is completed , leaving only the thread structure behind.  Once dry, it is mounted using a special floating technique, which gives the finished art depth and shadow.  The shadows will change with the light source, which brings the piece to life.
