Mandala Series

The pieces in this Award Winning collection, were inspired by the Mandala form of art.  Many are familiar with the 'Round Dot' and pieces... But Mandalas are so much more.  Requiring a minimum of a 2-Repeat pattern, the possibilities are endless!

These pieces were created on a domestic sewing machine, using a technique known as Free Motion Embroidery.  Sewn onto water soluble fabric, when the piece is completed, it is placed in water, were the fabric is washed away, and only the thread structure is left behind.  It is mounted using a special process that allows the artwork to float above the backing... leaving shadows that change with the light source... bringing the artwork to life.

Each piece of art is 8 inches by 8 inches and framed in a white shadowbox measuring 9 inches by 9 inches, ready to hang.
